International Classification of Diseases

The International Classification of Diseases (ICD) is a listing of diseases prepared by the World Health Organization. Work on the 10th version, ICD-10, began in 1983 and was completed in 1992.
Of special interest is Chapter V, Blocks F00–F99, "Mental and behavioural disorders". The diseases enumerated here correspond to those in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Specifically, ICD-10 F64.0, "Transsexualism" corresponds to DSM-IV 302.85, "Gender identity disorder in adolescents and adults".
